Link, I've taken the precaution of moving to an undisclosed location for the duration.

kristi, read and learn.
Holy Diver, where you at?
There's a woman on the hill in a wide brimmed hat
With a shotgun, .44,
And a black plastic bag in the back of a jacked up Ford.

OH I have read it but did you read the DATE? Think about the difference from then to now! Do you really think that I would give up my soul to become a little Miss Susie Homemaker?! I thought you knew me better than that!! :P Besides I do some of it just spontaneously! And not often enough for you to notice it! LMAO :P Luv you babe!

All right....

Postby MisterCat » Fri Sep 22, 2006 5:42 pm

Golly, am I ever sorry I posted that article? Yes, I am. See, I figured it would be perceived as absurd — and thus, or so my thinking went, it would be a source of reflective jocularity.

It's way over the top, folks! Of course, even today there are men who hold such beliefs as are set forth in that article; and, amazingly to me, there are women who choose to go along with them.

Anyway, I've been surprised to learn my posting of that article has been interpreted as an endorsement of what it sets forth. Yikes! Give me a break!

Hehehehe what did you expect with raging hormones like me and being 9 months pregnant!!! LOL It's all good I mean sometimes I wish I could be like the good ol'fashioned wives from back in the day! But now that we are allowed to speak our minds and put our feet down we have lost the majority of what it means to be one of those wives in the poster! I know it was posted in good humor don't worry I'm not coming after you! :chuckle:

You should be careful Mr Cat, an irate housewife can do a lot of damage with a rolling pin and a vaccuum cleaner.

(when she manages to unchain herself from the kitchen sink of course!) :D

Ah, yes.

Thank you, Hot Mama, for letting me off the hook! You know, I can remember my own mother slaving away in the kitchen nearly all day — cooking, baking, scrubbing pots and pans, peeling vegetables, scaling fish...and that was just the kitchen! Washing and waxing floors, doing laundry with a scrubbing board, vacuuming rugs, washing windows...and then there was the matter of us kids....

:o

Bonnie, please forgive me for having over-reacted. See, I'd posted that article to another message board; and I was nearly hanged by some of the female members, hence my becoming defensive. But I'm over it now (and I hope they are as well).

:hide:

What can I say, Walter? The two cats living here, who are female, have been entirely unsympathetic. I'm reminded of the ages-old question: "If cats thought they could get away with it, would they kill us all in our sleep?" (Something tells me this question applies to more than just the feline species.)

Besides you said you liked to cook so why take something away that you like to do!? I clean up way more than you do though! So I have that one!! I'm not bitching about it I am just simply stating the facts! Ya know I love ya and would do anything for ya!! hehehe ;)
