I prefer the simpler old ones; nowadays it really is all micromanagement of players and finances and stuff. I prefer the simpler ones - where people only had 5 stats (GK, DEF, MID, ATK, STAM) and you had to plan ahead, after each game it went to the next one almost instantly. Now, it seems if you want to skip to the next match, you have to watch each 30mins pass as it updates you with all the scores of every league... Well, imo. My two favs were Ultimate Soccer Manager, which ran in DOS, and FM 1995 on the Megadrive.
